Nestled in North Cornwall, Davidstow is a genuine village positioned between Padstow and Bude, lending its name to this renowned cheese. The South West’s abundant rainfall and mild temperatures create ideal conditions for grass to flourish, allowing cows to graze outdoors longer. This results in milk rich in butterfat, perfect for cheese-making. Many of our collaborating farmers are family-run enterprises, adhering strictly to our stringent Davidstow Farm Standards, alongside the Red Tractor Assurance Scheme. Aged for 36 to 40 months, Davidstow Reserve Cheddar boasts a crystalline look, offering a deeply rich, complex, caramel-like taste with a crunchy feel. It’s an utterly outstanding cheddar cheese.
