Don Fulano Tequila is an agricultural product. The fruit of five generations of agave farmers and a singular tequila-making heritage which brings together the Highlands of Jalisco and the Valleys of Tequila. Estate-Grown and bottled, it’s entirely made from three ingredients: hand-selected mature agave, proprietary yeast, and natural spring volcanic water.

Born in the Highlands of Jalisco, raised in the Valleys of Tequila. Don Fulano is a product of the Fonseca family whose story begins in the Highlands of Jalisco where their great grandfathers began cultivating agave 140 years ago. Today, respected agave farmers, they also run La Tequileña, one of the highest rated and most awarded tequila distilleries.

Don Fulano is carefully produced from hand selected mature agaves from the family’s estate. Slowly cooked and naturally fermented using proprietary yeast, it is distilled in copper pot stills, and rested in dark European oak before each batch is blended from carefully selected barrels by the master of the cellar and married together before being bottled without additives.

Don Fulano Fuerte Tequila is the original overproof tequila. Hailed by connoisseurs as one of the greatest of all times it is profoundly aromatic, full of spice and flavor and yet mellow with floral glimmers of Jasmin and orange blossom. Full bodied and generous in its complexity. One for the connoisseur and epicurean, to sip neat or unbeatable in a fantastic cocktail.

This expression is crafted under the direction of Master Distiller E. Fonseca and blended by S. Mendoza, using mature Maduro and Pinto agave harvested at jima media from the highlands of Atotonilco. The agave is cooked in an autoclave for 28 to 32 hours at 0.8 to 1.0 atmospheres, then extracted using a self-engineered screw press. Fermentation takes place in open tanks over 72 to 96 hours with proprietary yeast derived from the agave itself. Distillation is carried out in copper pot stills, followed by a minimum six-month maturation in stainless steel with no cask influence. Natural volcanic spring water from Tequila is used, and the final spirit is bottled at a robust 50% ABV.

Don Fulano Fuerte Tequila pours crystal clear and immediately announces its high-proof character with bold aromas of cooked agave, citrus oil, white pepper, and fresh herbs, layered with subtle mineral and earthy notes. The palate is powerful yet precise, showcasing vibrant roasted agave, lime zest, black pepper, and hints of anise and green olive, balanced by a natural sweetness and crisp minerality. The finish is long, warm, and peppery, with lingering agave intensity and herbal spice, making this 50% ABV tequila expressive, complex, and ideal for sipping or elevated cocktails.
